Frequently Asked Questions

PRODUCT QUESTIONS

Do you sell your original artworks here?

I sell reproductions of my original works in the Store; you can enquire on original works through my main website here.

How many Prints are available for each artwork?

These Prints are not limited in quantity.

Are Prints hand-signed and numbered?

No, as these are printed on demand in various locations around the world. I may offer limited edition hand-signed and numbered prints in the future, please join my mailing list or follow my social media to be kept informed (accessible at the bottom of this page).

Are Prints framed?

Prints can be provided framed; you will have options to select a frame when ordering. Alternatively, you can order unframed if preferred.

What materials are used in your frames?

Frames are made from pine wood with shatterproof, transparent plexiglass (acrylic glass).

Are there any other framing options to those listed?

Presently these are the only options I have available in-store. However, if you would like alternative framing, you can purchase an unframed print and take to a local picture framer.

I recommend getting quotes from several framers to determine which is the best value.

How are your Prints produced?

I use reputable Print On Demand services for my Prints (where a printer close to your location will individually create your Print after your order is made). This reduces environmental impacts by:

a) not requiring large amounts of stock to be produced and stored

b) being able to produced at locations around the world; your order is printed at the closest factory to your location, reducing shipping distances.

How do I care for my Print?

I recommend all Prints be framed to protect the work and for ease of display. If you have purchased an unframed print, and intend to get it framed, I recommend getting quotes from several framers, as prices can vary significantly. For Australian customers I recommend the services of Frameshop.

If you have purchased an unframed print, take care when handling to avoid tearing, creasing or folding the paper. If possible, use cotton gloves (generally available in supermarkets, home improvement stores or online), to avoid getting fingerprints on the image. If not available, wash and fully dry your hands immediately before handling. Handle the print by the edges.

If possible, do not hang the image in an area with direct sunlight, as this will fade the image over time. If unavoidable, have the work framed using UV filtering glass (available at most framers). If you have purchased a framed print from my Store, note that the plexiglass used is not UV resistant.

Do not hang prints in damp environments e.g. bathrooms; water will progressively warp the print and likely cause mould to grow.

If an unframed print is soiled, attempt to remove with a soft lint free cloth. If not possible, use a slightly damp (almost dry) cloth moistened with a mild detergent solution. Do not use a saturated cloth as this will likely damage the paper.

For framed prints take care when handling the work to avoid dents and scratches on the frame and plexiglass. If the frame is soiled, use a slightly damp (almost dry) cloth moistened with a mild detergent solution. Do not use a saturated cloth as this may damage the wood. Soling marks on the plexiglass can be removed with a lint-free cloth and glass cleaner. I recommend not spraying glass cleaner directly on the plexiglass, to avoid risk of run off seeping around the edges and damaging the print.

Will you be launching any other products?

Yes, I'll create Prints of new artworks, plus I'm investigating other potential products to sell here as well.
